Background and Context

Reports have surfaced indicating AAP’s heightened focus on Haryana ahead of the assembly polls, signaling a strategic shift for the party. In the 2019 elections, the BJP secured victory, clinching 40 seats, while the Congress won 31.

The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), founded by Dushyant Chautala, won 10 seats and supported the BJP to form the government. Additionally, seven independent candidates emerged victorious in the 2019 polls.

As AAP gears up for an independent run in Haryana, the political landscape in the state is poised for an intriguing and competitive electoral battle come October. The party’s commitment to contesting every seat underscores its determination to make a significant impact in the state’s political landscape.
