The regional committee has set a timeline to submit its report to the state governments by August. To facilitate this, an on-ground visit is scheduled to take place in the last week of June or July, with the presence of both Chief Ministers. This visit aims to gather valuable insights and perspectives from the affected communities.

Addressing concerns about disturbances at the border areas, the Chairman of the regional committee from Assam, Piyush Hazarika, clarified that the disruptions were not caused by Assam.
