Imphal, Dec 19: Following fresh violence in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, the state government has decided to extend the imposition of Section 144 for an additional two months.

This move was prompted by clashes between two groups of individuals and instances of sporadic violence reported in various town areas, notably at Thingkangphai village on December 18.
