Indigo flight

Guwahati, July 04: In an unexpected turn of events, an Indigo flight bound for Dibrugarh from Guwahati, Assam, encountered a technical glitch moments before take-off, prompting its return to the runway on July 4.

The flight, designated as 6E2652, carried several notable passengers, including State Ministers Ranjit Das and Bimal Borah, MLA Naba Doley, State Housing Board Vice Chairman Subhas Dutta, as well as Congress leader Ramen Barthakur. However, their plans were disrupted when the aircraft was forced to abort its departure due to a defect in one of the engines.

Upon receiving reports of the glitch, the pilot promptly made the decision to bring the aircraft back to the runway, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone on board. As of now, the necessary repairs are being carried out at Guwahati airport, while the passengers remain on the grounded flight.

This incident follows a recent diversion of a Vistara flight, numbered UK71, which was en route from New Delhi to Dibrugarh. On June 17, adverse weather conditions prevented the plane from landing at its intended destination, leading to its redirection to Guwahati.
