Minister Social Media

Kohima, Aug 12: Nagaland’s Minister for Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, is capturing the attention of netizens with his engaging social media presence, marked by his wit, humor, and the intriguing videos he shares.

One of Along’s recent posts on Twitter showcased a video featuring a man skillfully playing a makeshift drum set he had ingeniously put together. Crafted from ordinary household items like wooden shells, plastic drum heads, and metal hardware, the man’s drum set creation produced rhythmic beats to the tune of the 2001 song “Toxicity” by the band System of a Down.

In a Hindi caption, Along applauded the man’s innovative musical creation, stating, “Work hard in such a way that your luck too will be forced to support you.”

The video has left netizens astonished, with one user commenting, “There is no dearth of talent in India.” Another individual mentioned, “I watched the entire 3 minutes and 36 seconds duration. A rare occurrence. I don’t usually watch anything in its entirety—no movies, no TV. I only occasionally listen to some songs, and that too not very often.”

Just a few days prior, Along shared another video highlighting an environmentally friendly washbasin being utilized in his state. This innovative washbasin is crafted entirely from bamboo and comes with an important message: “It’s 100% natural and it causes zero harm to the environment.”

Water is sourced from rivers in the hills and is funneled into these unique washbasins. Wooden pieces are inserted into holes, and they can be removed when someone uses the washbasin.

After use, the wooden pieces can be reinserted. Wooden hangers are attached for towels, and a shelf is included for soap storage.
