Arunachal rally

Itanagar, April 30: A peaceful rally was organized by the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee to demand justice for the late Tumi Gangkak, suspended Under Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

The rally was held at Ziro, the headquarters of the Lower Subansiri district, after Aalo. The committee is leading the apex issue of the APPSC paper leakage scandal on April 29.

During the rally, the youth chanted slogans such as “CBI hai hai, aloo becho tomato becho question paper mat becho” (down with the CBI, sell potatoes and tomatoes, but don’t sell question papers). The rally also condemned the state government for its handling of the case.

Earlier, on March 24, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted multiple raids in the Papum Pare district as part of an investigation into the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) scam and the APPSC paper leak case.

The ED initiated the investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, based on FIRs registered by the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and IPC 1860. The ED conducted the raids while investigating the APPSB scam and APPSC paper leak cases.

The Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee is seeking justice for Tumi Gangkak and demanding accountability from the authorities responsible for the paper leak scandal. The committee has been leading the fight against corruption and the misuse of power in Arunachal Pradesh.

The peaceful rally organized by the committee demonstrates the growing frustration among the youth of Arunachal Pradesh over the lack of action taken by the authorities. It is a clear indication that the people of Arunachal Pradesh will not remain silent until justice is served.

It is crucial for the state government and authorities to address the concerns of the people and take appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future. The people of Arunachal Pradesh have the right to expect transparency and accountability from their leaders and government officials.
