Arunachal pilgrims

Prayagraj, May 01: A bus trailer carrying pilgrims from Arunachal Pradesh which was heading towards Varanasi collided with a trailer near the Handia-Kokhraj highway in the Badhaiya village of the Thana area. Nine pilgrims were seated in the bus, and six of them sustained injuries in the accident.

As soon as the information was received, the Soranv police reached the spot and sent all the injured to a community health center via an ambulance.

The pilgrims, identified as Sunanta, Kincheniy, Surya, Som, Chimkham, Nateva, Bheekhus Satna, and Prajan Karim, all hailing from the Chokham district of Arunachal Pradesh, arrived in Varanasi almost a week ago.

They had reserved a tourist bus to visit religious places in the state before heading to Sarnath, Varanasi from Agra on Sunday. During this trip, the bus trailer collided with a trailer near Badhaiya village.

Sunanta, Kincheniy, Surya, Som, Chimkham, Nateva, Bheekhus Satna, Prajan Karim, Suyasana Mina, and bus driver Chandan Chotil sustained injuries in the accident. As soon as the information was received, Soranv police reached the spot and admitted all the injured to the community health center in Soranv.

Police officials reported that the incident occurred due to the negligence of the bus trailer driver, who was driving the bus rashly. A case has been registered against the driver, and an investigation is underway.

The pilgrims have been assured of all possible assistance from the state government. The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, has directed officials to provide all necessary help and support to the injured.
