Delhi, July 29: India, a land of diverse cultures, ancient civilizations, and a history spanning over 5,000 years, is all set to showcase its rich heritage and journey through the ages in the world’s largest upcoming museum – the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum. Highly anticipated, this magnificent museum will be a symbol of India’s cultural wealth and will offer visitors an immersive experience of “the story of India.”

Located in the heart of Delhi, the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum will be an architectural marvel, occupying the North and South blocks and covering an expansive area of 1.17 lakh sq m with rooms spread over a basement and three stories. A vision brought to life by the Union Ministry of Culture, this ambitious project aims to be a beacon of knowledge and a celebration of India’s heritage.

The museum will be divided into eight thematic segments, each capturing a different epoch of India’s history. Union Minister of State for Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi, revealed that the current National Museum building, a significant landmark laid by the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on May 12, 1955, will be integrated into the Kartavya Path and the annexes of the Kartavya Path. This integration will create a seamless connection between the past and the future, symbolizing India’s commitment to preserving its heritage while embracing progress.
