Ayodhya, Jan 19: The sacred idol of Ram Lalla, measuring 51 inches, has been ceremoniously installed inside the sanctum sanctorum as part of the prelude to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple.

Recent photographs unveiled on Friday beautifully showcase the intricate design of the idol, adding to the anticipation surrounding the grand event.

In prior visuals, the initial glimpses of the Ram Lalla idol were shared, featuring the idol draped in a white cloth.

The meticulous craftsmanship of the 51-inch idol, crafted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, is now prominently on display, capturing the essence of divine artistry.

The journey of the idol to the temple commenced in the early hours of Thursday, eventually culminating in its placement in the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday afternoon.

The auspicious moment unfolded amidst the resonating chants of prayers, guided by the spiritual ambience orchestrated by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the overseeing body for the temple’s construction.

Arun Dixit, a priest closely associated with the consecration ceremony, confirmed the seamless installation of the Ram Lalla idol within the sanctum sanctorum.

Udupi Pejawar mutt Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha, a Trustee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, revealed that the idol’s official installation in the temple is scheduled for the ‘Abhijith Muhurta,’ an auspicious time, in the esteemed presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22.

To ensure the security of the event, only guests will have access to the temple on the inaugural day.

Following the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple on January 22, the temple is anticipated to open its doors to the public on the subsequent day, allowing devotees to witness and experience the divine sanctity within its hallowed precincts.
