Gangtok, June 21: 13 individuals, including nine personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), sustained injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident at Theng in North Sikkim. The mishap occurred while the ITBP personnel were on their way to avail leave, according to officials.

The ill-fated vehicle was en route to Chungthang and subsequently to Siliguri when the accident took place. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, and investigations are currently underway to determine the sequence of events leading up to the mishap.
