Mumbai, Nov 15: In the Cricket World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand, India faced a tense moment as Virat Kohli survived a significant DRS (Decision Review System) call. After a rapid start led by captain Rohit Sharma, who chose to bat first at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Kohli faced a close LBW call from a delivery by Tim Southee.

Despite the umpire’s initial not-out decision, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson opted for the DRS. However, the review was unsuccessful as replays revealed a clear inside edge before the ball hit Kohli’s pad.

Anushka Sharma, Kohli’s wife, who was present in the stands to support the team, visibly breathed a sigh of relief as the decision favored the former India captain.

Rohit Sharma provided India with a dynamic start, smashing four sixes and as many fours before being dismissed for 47 off 29 balls. Kohli, after surviving the DRS scare, continued his innings.
