Agartala, March 30: A video of Jadav Lal Nath, a BJP MLA from Tripura, allegedly watching pornographic content on his mobile phone during a state Assembly proceeding has gone viral on social media, causing an uproar.

Nath, who represents the Bagbassa Assembly constituency, was filmed scrolling through his phone before watching an explicit video while other MLAs and the speaker were addressing the House. The video was purportedly captured by someone sitting behind him.

This incident has once again put the BJP in an uncomfortable position as it grapples with the fallout of a similar incident that occurred in Karnataka back in 2012.

During that time, two BJP ministers were caught watching porn clips on their phones in the state assembly. The ministers were subsequently forced to resign but were later reinstated by the party.

The latest incident has prompted a response from the BJP, with the party reportedly seeking Nath’s explanation.

However, this is not the first time that an Indian politician has been caught in such a scandal. In the past, several politicians have been embroiled in controversies related to sexual misconduct, including watching pornographic content in public places.

The incident has raised questions about the behavior of public figures and their conduct in public places. It has also led to a debate about the need for stricter regulations and codes of conduct for politicians and lawmakers to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

As representatives of the people, it is expected that politicians uphold certain moral and ethical standards and behave responsibly in public places.

The incident involving the Tripura MLA highlights the need for greater accountability and transparency in politics. Politicians must be held accountable for their actions and must be subject to stricter regulations to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
