Gangtok, Feb 29: The annual Eastern Command Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) field firing was successfully conducted at the Teesta Field Firing Range in Sikkim from February 20 to February 28.
This significant training exercise involved the participation of over 1500 personnel from various units of the Infantry and Mechanised Infantry Battalion, highlighting the commitment to readiness and preparedness in the region.
Under the leadership of the Trishakti Corps, the firing exercise aimed at achieving the objective of “One Missile One Tank.”
Throughout the exercise, more than 260 missiles were fired, demonstrating precision and effectiveness in target engagement.
The training was meticulously planned, taking into account the tactical scenarios encountered on the battlefield, where tanks play a vital role.
The ATGM detachments utilized various modes of firing, including the utilization of the newly inducted indigenous Light Strike Vehicle and ground-based detachments.
