Delhi, Oct 15: The fourth flight under “Operation Ajay” successfully transported 274 Indians from Israel, as announced by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on October 15. This marked the second flight departing from Tel Aviv to India on the same day.

“Operation Ajay” was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to repatriate approximately 18,000 Indians who were in Israel. The process of Indian registration for repatriation began last Thursday.

The evacuation operation comes after a devastating week of violence in the region, resulting in the deaths of over 1,300 Israelis, the majority of whom were civilians, due to attacks by Hamas militants who infiltrated the border. Israeli retaliatory strikes also claimed the lives of over 1,000 Palestinians.
