New Delhi, Feb 21: Eminent jurist and esteemed senior advocate Fali S Nariman passed away at the age of 95 in New Delhi on February 21, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable contributions to Indian law and civil liberties.

Throughout his illustrious career, Nariman was known for his unwavering commitment to upholding constitutional values and advocating for justice.

His critical perspectives on judicial developments earned him widespread respect within the legal community.

Nariman’s involvement in several landmark cases, including his significant role in the NJAC verdict, underscored his profound impact on Indian jurisprudence.

He commenced his legal journey as an advocate in the Bombay High Court in November 1950, eventually rising to the esteemed position of senior advocate in 1961.

After relocating to Delhi in 1972 to practice at the Supreme Court of India, Nariman continued to leave an indelible mark on the legal landscape of the nation.

His tenure as Additional Solicitor General of India, beginning in May 1972, further solidified his reputation as a legal luminary committed to the pursuit of justice.
