Background of Lalit Mohan Jha

Originally from Bihar, Jha had been residing in Kolkata, working as a teacher in the Burrabazar area. Known for keeping a low profile, he abruptly left the city two years ago, marking the beginning of his mysterious journey.

The Parliament Security Breach

On a fateful day, two individuals, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, entered the Lok Sabha chamber, releasing colored smoke from canisters and causing chaos. Simultaneously, outside the Parliament premises, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi were apprehended for shouting slogans and waving smoke canisters.

Arrest and Surrender

Fleeing to Nagaur, Rajasthan, after the incident, Jha spent the night in a hotel and met friends. Realizing that the police were closing in, he returned to Delhi and surrendered at the Kartavya Path Police station on the evening of December 14th, 2023.
