Gwalior, Sep 17: Indian Air Force choppers, Chinook – carrying 8 Cheetahs from Namibia, arrive at their new home – Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gwalior.
The Cheetahs were brought from Namibia to India in a special cargo flight Boeing -717. The flight landed in Gwalior in the morning, after which they were taken to Kuno National Park in a helicopter.
The flights landed in Gwalior today morning where Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia welcomed them.
A tiger-faced B747 Jumbo jet was used to ferry eight cheetahs from Namibia, who will be introduced into the Indian wildlife by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.

On his 72nd birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the animals into an enclosure spread over 10km in the presence of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and wildlife experts.
The cheetahs were flown from southern Africa for their reintroduction in India seven decades after the species was declared extinct in the country in 1952.
