Bishnupur, Feb 20: An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale struck Manipur’s Bishnupur on Monday. The earthquake occurred at 5:49 pm, the National Center for Seismology said.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 20-02-2023, 17:49:12 IST, Lat: 24.83 & Long: 93.35, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 47km WNW of Bishnupur, Manipur,” the NCS tweeted.

There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property, an official bulletin said.

Yesterday, An earthquake of 3.8 magnitudes jolted the western part of Arunachal Pradesh. A report by the National Centre for Seismology claimed that the earthquake in Arunachal Pradesh was recorded at 12:12 PM. The report revealed the magnitude of the earthquake to be 3.8 epicentred at West Kameng, near the Bhutan border, at a depth of 10 km.
Tremors were felt in central-north Assam and the eastern part of Bhutan. There was no immediate report of any injury to anyone or damage to property officials said. The northeastern region falls in a high seismic zone, making earthquakes a frequent phenomenon there.
