Guwahati, Jan 05: A shipment of approximately 7,000 bamboo culms is set to traverse a distance of around 1,250 km, traveling from Gohalkona Kacharipam in Assam’s Boko to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
Scheduled for inauguration on January 22, the bamboo branches are loaded onto a 10-wheeler container, commencing their journey from Assam on Friday morning.
The Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council played a vital role in collecting the bamboo culms from Lampi, located near the Assam-Meghalaya border. The effort was a collaborative initiative, and the bamboo will be sent to Ayodhya without any charges.

Arjun Chetry, a general member of the council, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the inauguration ceremony of the Ram Temple.
He emphasized that collecting the bamboo for this significant occasion was considered a blessing and thanked the almighty for the opportunity.
The 7,000 bamboo culms gathered from Lampi represent a symbolic and meaningful contribution, showcasing the collaborative efforts and support extended by the people of Assam for the auspicious event in Ayodhya.
