Ayodhya, Nov 10: Ayodhya is set to make history this Diwali with a grand Deepotsav celebration aiming to set a world record by illuminating 21 lakh diyas across 51 ghats. This ambitious endeavor, orchestrated by the Ayodhya administration, involves the participation of 25,000 volunteers from Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in Faziabad.

The volunteers will light up the diyas on November 11, creating a breathtaking spectacle that is expected to captivate observers from around the world.

To achieve this monumental feat, one liter of oil has been allocated for lighting 24 diyas, with an estimated two to three lakh diyas extinguishing, leaving behind the remarkable display of 21 lakh earthen lamps.

Ayodhya administration is diligently overseeing the preparations, ensuring flawless execution of the program. The Yogi Government, known for its commitment to cultural celebrations, aims to secure its sixth Guinness World Record with this awe-inspiring display, surpassing last year’s achievement of 15.76 lakh diyas.

The budget for this grand celebration is approximately 3 crores, covering the costs of lighting the diyas, providing t-shirts for volunteers, and offering snacks. Each volunteer will receive a one-litre bottle of oil to minimize waste, contributing to a clean and enjoyable Diwali celebration for all.

As the volunteers meticulously arrange the diyas in designated boxes on the ghats, precautions are being taken to ensure a safe and mesmerizing event.
