Agartala, Feb 16: Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao sends notices to Tripura Congress and BJP for “an appeal for a vote in the favour” of their own parties tweeted from their official handles after the imposition of Model Code of Conduct.
More than 69.96% of voters cast their votes by 3 pm on Thursday in the Tripura Assembly polls which are in progress in all 60 constituencies amid heavy security.

Several incidents of violence, attacks, and counter-attacks were reported in the northeastern state on Thursday.
At least 60 Opposition party workers have also reportedly been injured when the ruling party workers attacked them in the south, Gomati, Sepahijala, and West Tripura districts.
