Itanagar, March 09: The crisis deepens for the Congress party in Arunachal Pradesh as former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki steps down from his role as the President of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) amidst looming elections.
Tuki’s resignation adds to the party’s challenges ahead of the upcoming polls.
A stalwart of the Congress in the region, Tuki served as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh from November 2011 to February 2016.

He represented the Sagalee assembly constituency of Papum Pare district for six consecutive terms, making him the senior-most Congress leader in the state.
