New Delhi, March 09: The Congress party has unveiled its inaugural list of candidates for the impending Lok Sabha elections, featuring nominees for constituencies across Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, in addition to Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Telangana.

In Meghalaya, Vincent H Pala is slated to contest from the Shillong-ST seat, while Saleng A Sangma will represent Tura (ST).

For Nagaland, Congress has nominated S. Supongmeren Jamir, and Gopal Chettri will stand for Sikkim.

Meanwhile, in Tripura West, the Congress has chosen Ashish Kumar Saha as its candidate.

The party has unveiled the names of 36 candidates across seven states, with three candidates, two from Karnataka and one from Telangana, put on hold pending further deliberation.

Additional information regarding the candidates and their respective constituencies will be disclosed in due course.

In a separate development, incumbent MP Rahul Gandhi is expected to contest from the Wayanad seat once again.
