Imphal, June 03: Following the havoc wreaked by Cyclone Remal, Northeast India is facing widespread devastation and casualties.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh took to microblogging platform X to shed light on the grim situation in his state and neighboring regions.
Chief Minister Singh emphasized, “Not only in my state, my neighboring sister states are also suffering due to Cyclone Remal.”

The cyclone’s impact has hit Assam particularly hard, with over six lakh families affected and 15 reported fatalities. In Mizoram, the toll exceeds 30 lives lost, with many families struggling in its aftermath.
In Manipur, nearly 1.5 lakh families have been affected, resulting in four reported casualties and one individual still missing.
The repercussions of the cyclone are also evident in Meghalaya and Nagaland, where numerous individuals are grappling with significant challenges.
