1. Rajnath Singh vows to pursue terrorists disrupting peace, even if they flee to Pakistan.
2. Singh’s response follows The Guardian’s report on alleged Indian involvement in targeted killings in Pakistan.
3. India’s Defence Minister maintains a firm stance against threats.
New Delhi, April 06: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted on Friday that the Indian government will not tolerate terrorists who seek to disrupt the nation’s peace, affirming that they would be pursued even if they flee to Pakistan.
Singh’s statement was prompted by a report in The Guardian alleging India’s involvement in targeted killings within Pakistan.
“If any terrorist attempts to disrupt our nation’s peace, we will respond appropriately. Even if they escape to Pakistan, we will enter Pakistan and eliminate them,” Singh stated in an interview with CNN-News18. “The Prime Minister’s assertion is entirely accurate. India possesses such strength, and Pakistan is beginning to realize this,” he added.
Singh’s remarks coincide with India’s dismissal of The Guardian’s report, which cited unnamed intelligence sources from both India and Pakistan.
The Defence Minister also emphasized India’s commitment to maintaining positive relations with all neighboring countries, emphasizing that India has never instigated aggression against any nation.

“India has never initiated aggression against any country or sought to seize its territory. However, if anyone threatens India or its peace, they will face consequences,” Singh affirmed.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of External Affairs rebuffed The Guardian’s allegations, denouncing them as “baseless and malicious anti-India propaganda.”
The government reiterated a prior statement from External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who clarified that targeted killings in other nations were not endorsed by India’s government.
According to The Guardian’s report, documents shared by Pakistani investigators suggested that India’s intelligence agency, RAW (Research and Analysis Wing), conducted 20 targeted killings abroad in response to an emboldened national security strategy following the 2019 Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 40 Indian soldiers.
