Entertainment, Aug 20: Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2, the latest entry in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, continues to perform strongly at the box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the film saw a minor drop in collections on its first Monday, with an estimated net collection of ₹228.45 crore in India.
Box Office Performance:
- Stree 2 earned ₹8.5 crore during its premieres before its official release.
- The film debuted with a robust ₹51.8 crore net on its opening day and collected ₹31.4 crore on its first Friday, reflecting a 39.38% drop.
- The movie rebounded with a 39.65% increase on Saturday, earning ₹43.98 crore, and further grew by 27.48% on Sunday, with ₹55.9 crore.
- On Monday, the film is estimated to have brought in ₹37 crore, bringing its total five-day collection to approximately ₹228.45 crore net in India.

By Sunday, Stree 2 surpassed ₹283 crore globally, as reported by the film’s producers, Maddock Films.
They announced on social media, “Stree 2 hits it out of the park, with Sunday numbers exceeding those of August 15th! The film records a massive ₹283 crore worldwide gross and ₹204 crore net in India — taking the love to a whole new level!”

Stree 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, continuing the story from where the first film left off. The movie features Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana reprising their roles, with Varun Dhawan making a cameo appearance as Bhediya.
The plot follows Rajkummar Rao’s character Vicky and his group of friends in Chanderi, who seek Stree’s help to combat the menacing villain, Sarkata, terrorizing their town.
