Kohima, July 03: Police seized 1 lakh Yaba tablets from a vehicle near Peducha in Kohima district early on Saturday and arrested two persons in this connection.
SP (crime) and PRO, police headquarters, Kohima, in a release said that based on specific input, police personnel of the narcotic cell mobile unit intercepted a Guwahati-bound car, which was coming from Imphal, near Peducha at 1.10 am.

The 1 lakh Yaba tablets, which were wrapped in 10 packets, were concealed inside a specially built compartment near the spare tyre.
The recovered contraband is worth around Rs 20 lakh, the release said. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the duo.
