15 BJP members injured in a clash ahead of TTAADC election in Tripura

Tripura, March 20: At least 15 people have been injured during a clash between different political parties at Maniram Bari village in South Tripura District ahead of the TTAADC election.

All the injured are reportedly members of the BJP. The clash erupted between members of the ruling BJP and the IPFT over the TTAADC election campaign on Friday at Maniram Bari that falls in the Rishyamukh assembly constituency and Bhurathali constituency.

IPFT candidate Dhananjoy Tripura will be contesting the TTAADC elections from the Bhurathali constituency.

As per the adjustment of seats, the BJP left this seat for IPFT.

However, local BJP supporters and leaders are not ready to leave this seat for IPFT and a BJP leader, Rocky Victor will be contesting from this seat as an independent candidate.

Victor reportedly called a meeting at Shiv Charan Tripura’s house in Moniram Bari village.

While the meeting was underway a group of pro-IPFT activists suddenly attacked the BJP members, injuring them.
