Guwahati Feb 07: Law enforcement authorities in Morigaon conducted successful overnight raids, resulting in the apprehension of 17 cybercriminals, confirmed by Samiran Baishya, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Morigaon.

The arrests were made in response to an elaborate cybercrime operation that preyed on unsuspecting victims.

The cybercriminals, whose identities remain undisclosed, were allegedly involved in a fraudulent scheme wherein they obtained loans in the name of foreigners using falsified documents.

SP Samiran Baishya affirmed, “Yes, it’s confirmed that we arrested 17 cybercriminals last night in overnight raids.”
