Modi government to bear expense of the operation to evacuate Indians from war zone of Ukraine

India, Feb 25: The Indian government will carry out the operation to bring back the Indians trapped in the war zone of Ukraine. Special flights will be run after the arrival of Indian citizens by land in neighbouring countries. The central government will bear the cost of the flights bringing back all the Indians. This decision was taken in the CCS meeting led by PM Narendra Modi.

Earlier, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla told that the plan to return the students from Ukraine is ready. He told me that if you want to go from Ukraine to Poland by road, then it is a 9-hour route and 12 hours to Vienna, that route has also been mapped out. The points I mentioned on the way like Lviv, Chernivtsi, we have also sent our teams there so that we can give whatever help we can give to our citizens from there.

Indians will be expelled from 4 countries adjacent to Ukraine. These countries are Hungary, Romania, Slovak Republic and Poland. The Indian Embassy has set up camps on the border of these countries. The names and numbers of the officials with whom the Indian students have to be contacted in these camps have also been released. When Indian students reach these countries by road, then they will be brought to India via Qatar. For this, the Indian Embassy in Doha has made all the preparations.

The Plight of Families in India

When Russia attacked Ukraine, the lives of Indian students who went to study medicine from India were in danger. When the situation started deteriorating, the condition of the relatives became miserable and the Indian students trapped there also started losing their spirit. There is only one request of all the family members that the Government of India should bring back our red.

In Ukraine, about 20 thousand students are trapped in different cities. The families of all are worried about the safety of their children. Children trapped there are also pleading for help from the government in the hope of coming back. In Yamunanagar, Haryana, the parents of children trapped in Ukraine also met the Education Minister to request them to bring back their children safely. Education Minister Kanwarpal Gujjar assured them of all possible help.
