Gangtok, Sept 17: Sikkim Chief Secretary V.B. Pathak conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations for the upcoming visit of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, to the state next month.
During a meeting with senior state government officials at the secretariat, Pathak discussed and issued directives regarding logistical and security arrangements for the duration of the Dalai Lama’s visit to Sikkim.
The primary focus was on the security arrangements for the event at Paljor Stadium on October 11, where a large number of devotees will gather to seek the blessings of the Tibetan spiritual leader.

The Dalai Lama’s visit to Sikkim is scheduled from October 10 to October 14, marking his return after a gap of nearly 13 years. While reviewing the proposed itinerary and the event schedule at Paljor Stadium, Chief Secretary Pathak stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among various government agencies and departments.
The goal is to ensure seamless coordination, meticulous planning, and stringent security measures to guarantee the safety and security of both the devotees and the Dalai Lama during his visit.
