Guwahati, Jan 06: At a foundation stone laying ceremony of a Madrasa in Baghbor’s Kadamtala, Assam, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal stirred controversy by urging Muslims to refrain from traveling between January 20-25 during the consecration of the Ram Temple.

Ajmal claimed that the BJP is the biggest enemy of Muslims, advising the community to avoid any travel plans, be it by train, bus, or car, during the period when Lord Ram’s idol is to be placed in the garba griha.

During his speech, Ajmal expressed the view that Muslims have long suffered in the country. He criticized the Congress, attributing the initiation of the NRC and D-voter system to the grand old party.

Ajmal also commented on Muslim voters often forgetting the promises made by Congress after elections.
