Kolkata, 6th November: After offering the prayer at Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata, Union Home minister Amit Shah on Friday visited the house of classical singer Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty in his South Kolkata home-cum-institution “Shrutinandan”.

Students perform in front of Amit Shah and other central ministers. Shah was greeted with blowing of conch shells and beating of drums by the students.

Union Home Minister and top BJP leader Amit Shah are in two- day visit ahead of the 2021 assembly polls in West Bengal. He is here to take stock of the party’s organization.

BJP workers were waiting since morning to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah outside the residence of classical singer Ajoy Chakraborty. Mahila Morcha was standing with the BJP flags on the hand outside the residence of the singer. BJP supporters chanted the slogan “Jai Shree Ram” and “BJP Zindabad”.

“I glad that a person from such a post considers visiting Kolkata for the cause of music. I am a musician I dint anything else than music. He will listen to my song. I am not in such a position where I can invite him. He himself said that he wants to listen to my music. Once, Dr Abdul Kalam also visited me, now he is coming. For me, he is a guest,” Ajoy Chakraborty shares his happiness with the media.
