Itanagar, July 17: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu thanked the citizens of the state for the massive victory of the BJP party in panchayat by-elections. BJP gained 108 seats out of a total of 130 in panchayat by-polls.

While speaking to the media CM Khandu stated that the mantra of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and proper steering and governance of eight years of Modi-led NDA Government is at the back of the overall performance of the kingdom authorities of Arunachal for the reason that the ultimate 6 years.

Khandu stated that Northeast India was given it is new identification below the Modi regime and because of his instructions the dynamics of the Northeast is modified and now humans of mainland India are these aware of approximately Northeast and Arunachal as well.

The flagship applications and schemes for downtrodden humans were released through the Modi Government and thru his efforts now these high-quality consequences for BJP are the benefits from the public.

“We do high-quality politics. Transformative governance and empowerment of humans is our hallmark. Many improvement works and proper projects had been undertaken in city areas. We are devoted to the empowerment of all sections of society in urban areas,” the leader minister stated.

The ruling BJP in Arunachal Pradesh swept the panchayat through polls through prevailing 108-gram panchayat (GP) seats, State Election Commission (SEC) officers stated on Saturday.

The National Peoples’ Party (NPP) secured 5 GP seats, competition Congress and Janata Dal (United) gained 3 every and Independent bagged eleven seats, counting of votes for which became hung on Saturday, State Election Commissioner Hage Kojeen stated.

In the lone Zila Parishad member (ZPM) seat in Kurung Kumey district, Independent candidate Bengia Tayang gained by defeating his rival NPP candidate Chello Tagar, through a margin of 98 votes.

The SEC on June 14 issued a notification for containing panchayat through-polls to one hundred thirty GP seats and one ZPM seat. However, in 116 GP seats, applicants have been declared elected unopposed as there has been the handiest candidate.

The BJP gained one zero one GP seat, the NPP and Congress seat every, one through JD(U) and Independent applicants 10. By-elections have been held for one ZPM seat and 14 GP seats on July 12.

A predicted 84.55 percentage of voters, out of a complete of 4,057 eligible voters, exercised their franchise for electing 14 GP participants and one ZPM, Kojeen informed. Arunachal Pradesh has a complete of 8,216 GP seats and 242 ZPM seats.

Among the ZPM seats, the ruling BJP has 188, JD (U) has 10, Congress (9), NPP (7), PPA (3), and independents (24). Of the whole GPM seats in the state, BJP has 6,378 seats, Congress (378), NPP (243), JDU (159), PPA (27), and independents (1046).

Elections to forty GPM seats and one ZPM seat in the Vijoynagar sub-department of Changlang district had been saved pending because of law & order and different administrative issues, Kojeen added.
