Arunachal Pradesh: Army vehicle met an accident; one Army Jawan dead

Arunachal, July 14: Army vehicle met with an accident due to inclement weather between Pango & Palsi in Arunachal Pradesh leaving one Army Jawan dead & 7 others injured.

Emergency treatment was provided to Army troops by a veterinary officer from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), after they met with an accident on Wednesday morning, thereby helping save several lives.

An Army heavy vehicle carrying troops from a Sikh Light Infantry unit to Tuting met with a serious accident due to inclement weather conditions, between Pango and Palsi in the northeast.

An ITBP team under command of Deputy Commandant (Vet), Dr Anoop Kumar Nayak, who was deployed with the Animal Transport Logistic Border Outpost rushed with emergency intravenous medicines and started critical field treatment to save the lives of Army troops.

He stabilized the condition of many soldiers and was able to stop haemorrhage and prevent hypovolemic shock by immediately using banana leaves as bedding.
