Itanagar, June 20: The Arunachal Pradesh government has undertaken a significant bureaucratic overhaul affecting multiple senior officials.
Kaling Tayeng, a 1998 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary (Election) as per an official order issued by Chief Secretary Dharmendra.
In another key change, Vivek Pandey will assume the role of Commissioner of Urban Affairs, encompassing Urban Development, Town Planning, Urban Local Bodies, and Housing, succeeding Pawan Kumar Sain.

Sain, in turn, will now serve as Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, while also taking charge of Commissioner, of Public Health Engineering & Water Supply, succeeding Audesh Kumar Singh.
Additionally, Sadhana Deori, Amjad Tak, Saugat Biwas, and others will assume new responsibilities in critical sectors such as industries, education, and technology.
These adjustments are aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and governance across the state.
