New Delhi, Jan 26: Known because the land of the rising sun, Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday showcased its tourism potential at the Republic Day parade.
The tableau of the state displayed the potential for tourism in the fields of adventure, sports, ecology, culture, religion, history, and archeology.
Arunachal Pradesh is strategically placed withinside the easternmost part, sharing boundaries with Bhutan, China, and Myanmar.
The tractor portion of the tableau depicted the Donyi Polo airport entrance gate and the state bird Hornbill, amidst a lush green landscape adorned by orchids.

Shapawng YawngManou Poi — a dance festival — and a 1962 War Memorial were depicted in the trailer portion. People from major tribes of the state in traditional dresses accompanied the tableau.
Arunachal Pradesh is also celebrating the 74th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The main function was held at IG Park in the Capital city, Itanagar.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu unfurled the National Flag on the occasion, which was followed by the ceremonial March Pastby various uniformed contingents, NCC Cadets, Scouts & Guides, and School Children.

On the occasion, the Chief Secretary announced the ‘State Awards’ and ‘Chief Minister’s Award for the Cleanest Village in the state’. This was followed by a colorful cultural show by folk dance troupes and school children.
