Assam flood districts

Guwahati, Oct 12: Nearly 34,000 people including 8,378 kids from 3 districts of Assam had been suffering from the flood.

The water ranges of many rivers are growing following incessant rain in components of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in the past couple of days and flood waters submerged 46 villages in Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, and Lakhimpur districts.

According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the water stage of the Brahmaputra river is flowing above the hazard stage mark at Neamatighat in Jorhat.

An overall of 15,084 human beings had been affected on my own withinside the Dhemaji district whilst 14,895 human beings had been affected in Lakhimpur and 3,857 withinside the Dibrugarh district.

The flood record of ASDMA said that 22 villages withinside the Dhemaji district, 23 withinside the Lakhimpur district, and one village withinside the Dibrugarh district had been suffering from the current wave of flood.

The flood waters have submerged 1,300 hectares of cropland in 3 districts.

The Dhemaji district management has installed 6 comfort distribution centres in flood-hit areas.
