Assam, Dec 23: Three girls between the ages of 6 and 7 years old, all from Morigaon district of Assam, were allegedly raped by a 50-year-old man on Wednesday.
Morigaon district’s Jengorbori village resident Rajani Kanta Daimary had been arrested by the Laharighat police station.
Several reports indicate the accused person raped three minor girls of his village, and in connection with this, a police case was registered at Laharighat police station.
On December 20, the police registered a case at the Laharighat police station under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after receiving complaints from the victims’ families.
It has been reported that the accused person lured the victims to his home, took them there, and sexually assaulted them.

Officers of the Laharighat police station claimed the absconding suspect was caught in the Amatola area on Wednesday after he had absconded after committing the crime.
Several minor girls (between the ages of 6-7) have filed a complaint against Rajani Daimary for allegedly raping them at Laharighat police station on December 20.
As of Wednesday, we have captured the accused person in the Amatola area. The police officer stated that the victims had also been medically examined.
