Guwahati, March 14: During a press conference in Guwahati, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the identity of the individual alleged to be Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s body double during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Assam leg.
Sarma identified the purported ‘body double’ as Kurukshetra from Madhya Pradesh. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by this individual, who was exposed by India TodayNE. Subsequently, the individual left Assam for Delhi and then Madhya Pradesh.
Expressing his concerns, Sarma questioned why the man was not presented to the media if he was indeed a mere look-alike, rather than a body double.

He further questioned why the individual was allowed to depart Assam without any media coverage.
Sarma announced his intention to share further details, including the man’s phone records, during a BJP office meeting in the evening.
The individual in question had reportedly accompanied Gandhi from Manipur and was present at all his conferences.
