Assam reports 31.71 per cent of total COVID-19 cases in the last five days:

Guwahati, June 11: Assam has reported 1042 positive cases for COVID-19 in just five days and registered two deaths related to the deadly virus.

The state on Wednesday has registered one more novel Coronavirus-related death taking the state’s COVID-19 death tally to 6.

A cancer patient who was also tested positive for COVID-19, died at Tezpur Medical College Hospital.

On the other hand, the state has reported 235 more positive cases for the novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With the new cases, the state tally has now surged to 3285.

According to the Assam government data, in the last five days, 1042 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the state.

The last five days numbers accounted 31.71 per cent of the total numbers.

The government data shows that 230 cases were detected on June 6 while 208 detected on June 7, 154 cases on June 8, 215 cases on June 9 and 235 cases on June 10.

On the other hand, 1249 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far and the state has now 2027 active positive cases for the deadly virus.
