Assam reports three more COVID-19 positive cases, state tally increases to 89:

Guwahati, May 15: Assam on Friday has reported three more positive cases for COVID-19, with these new cases state tally increases to 89.

The new cases have been reported from Guwahati in Kamrup (Metro) district.

Confirming the reports, Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, one case has been detected at Sarusajai stadium quarantine camp and one is an indoor patient of Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) and another has migrated to West Bengal.

“3 persons tested #COVID19 + in Kamrup Metro. One person is from Sarusajai Quarantine camp, 1 indoor patient of GMCH, & one has migrated to West Bengal. Total cases 89,” he tweeted.

25 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in Guwahati in the last 48 hours.

On Thursday, seven cancer, heart patients, and attendees who came from Mumbai have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Guwahati.

Assam has so far reported 89 COVID-19 positive cases including 32 cases from Kamrup (Metro), 11 cases from Cachar district, nine cases from Golaghat district, six cases each from Morigaon, Goalpara districts, five cases each from Dhubri, Bongaigaon districts, four cases from Nalbari district, three cases from Jorhat district, two cases each from Karimganj and Kamrup districts and one each from South Salmara, Lakhimpur, Hailakandi and Kokrajhar district.

Out of them two COVID-19 patients died and 41 others were discharged from hospitals.

The state has now 44 active COVID-19 positive cases.

On the other hand, one more COVID-19 positive case has detected in Manipur and the state tally has increased to 4.
