Guwahati, Aug 16: The Delimitation process in Assam has achieved a major breakthrough. On August 16, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, has granted her final approval to the Delimitation notification issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the state.

The news was met with jubilation and a sense of historical significance by Chief Minister Sarma, who shared his thoughts on this momentous development, “Today the Honorable President has approved the Delimitation Notification issued by the Election Commission of India for Assam. A significant milestone has been achieved in the history of Assam. Jai Maa Bharati Jai Aai Asom.”
