Guwahati, April 28: A disturbing incident unfolded in Guwahati as a poster featuring Lord Ram was defaced with black paint in front of the Lalganesh Hanuman temple.

The desecration of this revered religious symbol has sparked outrage among residents, causing shock and dismay among devotees and passersby alike.

The targeted poster, displayed under the banner of the Establishment of The Ram Mandir, was discovered with black paint splattered over Lord Ram’s face.

In response, people took to the streets in protest, expressing their condemnation and demand for justice.

The protestor stated, “Yesterday, the laborers were working here, and that’s when they were coloring. The incident happened either last night or early this morning. Unfortunately, they painted Lord Ram’s face on the poster. We just want justice. The contractor will come, and he’ll bring the laborers with him. Whoever did this will be punished. They’ve disrespected our Ram. If we, the Hindus living in Guwahati, are subjected to such actions by Muslim people, where else can we go? We have nowhere else to turn. We want those responsible to be brought before us. If they’ve disrespected our Ram, it’s like disrespecting all Hindus. We can’t tolerate this. Now, we want those responsible to be brought here, and the law will take care of the rest. But the contractor has to come because we’re 100% sure it was the laborers who were coloring yesterday and they’re the ones who did it.”

As the investigation into the incident unfolded, authorities from the Fatashil and Odalguri police stations were present at the scene to assess the situation and ensure public safety.

However, the identity of the perpetrators remains unknown, adding to the mystery surrounding the case.
