Guwahati, Sept 09: On Saturday, Assam experienced a moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale, specifically in the Barpeta region. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) promptly provided information about this seismic event, indicating that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 24 kilometers.

The NCS shared the following details about the earthquake on social media: “Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.2, Occurred on 09-09-2023, 04:20:15 IST, Lat: 26.11 & Long: 90.97, Depth: 24 Km, Location: Barpeta, Assam.”

This earthquake, which had a magnitude of 3.2, took place at 4:20 am, according to the National Center for Seismology.
