Guwahati, Sept 03: The latest Assam Daily Flood Report, as of 4:00 PM on September 2, paints a dire picture of the ongoing flooding crisis in the state. Tragically, another life was claimed today in the Darrang district, bringing the cumulative number of flood-related fatalities to 18. This latest fatality occurred in Tamulpur.

The human toll is just one aspect of the disaster. A total of 242,515 people have been affected by the floods, with 104,368 being male, 83,107 female, and 55,040 children. The flooding has taken a severe toll on communities across Assam.
