Guwahati, June 04: The Assam government has taken a significant step towards the transformation of higher education in the state with the formal launch of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The ceremonial launch, attended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Gauhati University, marks a historic day for Assam and sets the stage for comprehensive educational reforms.

The NEP 2020, envisioned under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to prepare the youth for the future by providing a holistic and enabling educational environment.

Chief Minister Sarma emphasized the importance of imparting multi-disciplinary education to students and commended the efforts of the higher education department of the state government and Gauhati University in initiating this historic initiative.
