Guwahati, Oct 30: Dipankar Barman, the alleged mastermind behind the infamous DB stock scam, has been brought to Guwahati from Goa under heightened security measures.

This development marks a critical step in the investigation, as authorities work to expose the intricate details of the case that has drawn extensive public attention.

Barman arrived at Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Indigo flight 6E6882, where a significant police presence ensured his secure transfer.

He was immediately taken to Panbazar Police Station for a detailed interrogation to uncover the extent of his alleged role in the widespread trading fraud.

Barman’s capture followed a rigorous manhunt led by ACP Amit Mahato, IPS, from Guwahati’s Pan Bazar division, which concluded with his detention in Goa on Sunday.

His return to Guwahati is a key milestone, allowing investigators to dismantle the complex network of the alleged scam and assess its full impact on investors.
