Imphal, June 28: Assam Rifle troops along with Narcotics Control Bureau, foiled an attempt to smuggle in heroin in Manipur Moreh.
Based on intelligence inputs, troops of Assam Rifles and Narcotics Control Bureau intercepted two suspects travelling on a motorcycle at Check Post in Mission Veng on Sunday.
On thorough checking of the motorcycle, 260 grams of heroin worth Rs 57 lakh was recovered.
The two drug peddlers, the motorcycle and the captured heroin were taken into custody by Narcotics Control Bureau for further legal proceedings.
