Guwahati, Feb 20: The Government of Assam has initiated a significant reshuffle within the state’s police force, aiming to optimize administrative efficiency and bolster public service.

The move, outlined in a recent notification by Biswajit Pegu, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home (A) Department, involves the reassignment of several IPS and APS officers to new posts across different districts and units.

  1. Shri Veera Venkata Rakesh Reddy, IPS (RR-2014): Transferred from Superintendent of Police, Goalpara to Superintendent of Police, Dibrugarh.
  2. Shri Shwetank Mishra, IPS (RR-2015): Moved from Superintendent of Police, Dibrugarh to Superintendent of Police, Jorhat.
  3. Shri Mohan Lal Meena, IPS (RR-2016): Reassigned from Superintendent of Police, Jorhat to Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon.
  4. Ms. Pankaj Yadav, IPS (RR-2017): Shifted from Superintendent of Police, Tamulpur to Superintendent of Police, Barpeta.
